Community Guidelines
Version 1.0 · Last updated: 23 September 2026
The short version. Kindred's community is parents helping parents. Share your real experiences, protect everyone's children in photos, be kind, and keep it non-commercial. Report anything that doesn't belong — we act on it.
1. What Kindred's community is for
Every review, tip, and photo in Kindred comes from a parent like you. That's what makes it useful — and it only stays useful if what we share is honest, kind, and safe.
2. Share honestly
Write about your own, real experiences. Your genuine opinion is welcome, glowing or critical. Made-up experiences, reviews for places you haven't visited, and anything paid-for or planted are not welcome — and venue owners may not review their own venue or their competitors. (The fine print lives in our Terms of Service.)
3. Photos
Photos help other families — and they need extra care:
- No other people's children without their parent's consent
- Watch for identifying details — school uniforms, house numbers, street signs
- Family-audience only — if you'd hesitate to show it to anyone in another family, children included, don't upload it
You choose what to share. Photos are never used in Kindred's marketing unless no one in them can be identified — we blur faces and remove identifying details first — or you gave separate permission for that photo. Photos showing children are only ever used with your permission — see the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
4. Be kind, stay safe
Parenting is hard enough. No harassment, no shaming other parents' choices, no sharing anyone's personal information, nothing unlawful. Disagree with a review? That's fine — do it with respect.
5. Keep it non-commercial
No spam, no self-promotion, no advertising. If you're professionally connected to a venue or product, don't post about it as if you weren't.
6. Reporting content
See something that breaks these rules? Report it in the app. We review every report, remove content that doesn't belong, and tell the person who posted it what was removed and why. Content receiving multiple reports may be hidden automatically while we look.
7. What happens when rules are broken
We act proportionately: removing content first, warning on repeat, suspending accounts only for serious or persistent violations. If you think we made a mistake, reply to the notice and we'll take a second look.
